The Saline County Weatherization Assistance Program is now live! Eligible low-income households can apply for the Saline County Weatherization Assistance Program to help reduce energy costs by increasing the energy efficiency of their homes, while ensuring their health and safety. All weatherization work is done at no cost to the individual resident.

**General eligibility criteria for the Saline County Weatherization Assistance Program includes — **

  • Applicant must own the property they are applying for.
  • Property Owner's household annual gross income must be less than 80% area median income.
  • Must be located within the boundaries of Saline County, KS. (address cannot be a PO Box or an address that leads to a shipping center as their physical location).

The Weatherization Assistance Program is funded by the Salina County ARPA funding. CHDO of Central Kansas and Forward are the administrators.

The Community Housing Development Organization of Central Kansas is running a Weatherization Assistance Program to help reduce energy costs for low to moderate income households in Saline County.

The program will allow residents the opportunity to improve inefficient appliances and infrastructure in their homes. Following a pre-inspection by the county, qualifying improvements include furnaces, insulation, water heaters, roof vents, infiltration work, and refrigerators.
